Why does my dog run away from me? How can I fix that?

When he was young, a hand coming down on him is like a giant building of the apocalpyse collapsing on him. If you have something smelly in your hand, (Like Yummy Beef!) he will see that giant building is a very nice building, (hand) then he'll probably not run away any more.
