What do people prefer bulldog or french bulldog?

It sounds like you really know what you want! I personally love both breeds, but they really are both prone to many health issues. They both will need regular check ups with a good vet, of course, and daily cleaning between wrinkles. Also, if you live somewhere that gets really hot, I might think about another breed, as both of them have flat faces and cannot tolerate heat. Personality wise, I'd say frenchies are more friendly in general than bulldogs, but it's really about how they are brought up and how well socialized they are. Also, I'm sure you are aware, but bulldogs are quite a bit bigger then french bulldogs.
